Meet the Team

Tammy Herring, Associate Director of Sales
Since 1999, Tammy Herring has been working with her clients in creating the perfect option for their meetings at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel. Promoted to Associate Director of Sales in 2008, she now oversees the Group sales effort and is proud to be a member of the team at this very exciting time for Arlington and the hotel. Tammy has a reputation for ensuring that her client's expectations are exceeded and their conferences are executed flawlessly.

Having been in the hospitality industry for nearly two decades, she truly loves what she does. Tammy brought many years of prior sales experiences from a number of D/FW properties with her, with a strong background in both corporate and social markets. A genuine "native" Texan, she enjoys spending time with her family and participating in classic car shows and events.


Nora Borrego, Sales Manager
Since July 2000, Nora Borrego has been involved in the success of many conferences and events at the Sheraton Arlington, primarily working within the social, educational, government and religious markets. With her original sales background stemming from the catering area, Nora now enjoys working with similar groups on their conventions and programs as well. She is currently an active member of both the Society of Government Meeting Professionals and Religious Conference Management Association.

Nora brings a wealth of experience from having served in the hospitality industry for over two decades. She had held positions in many of the Operation's department of hotels as well, having worked and supervised in such areas as the Front Office, Housekeeping, Banquets and Conference Services. In her free time, Nora enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in their community of Cedar Hill. Nora is originally from Durango, Mexico and enjoys traveling to many exciting locations, including Israel and Egypt.


Jeanne Edwards, Sales Manager
Jeanne Edwards has the unique distinction of being longest term member of the Sheraton Arlington Sales & Catering team, having joined the hotel in 1994. During her tenure, she has held a wide variety of positions, starting as a Sales Assistant, then moving into Catering and Conference Services, and now enjoying success within the Group Sales Department. A fan of the Austin area, she also has the pleasure of visiting there regularly, working with State & Regional Associations and State Government Organizations.

Jeanne brought with her many years of experience working with numerous chains in a variety of hotel departments, including Food & Beverage, Outlet Services and Banquets. Having graduated at the top of her class, her designation as "Business Student of the Year" in high school comes as no surprise to her colleagues. She spends much of her spare time traveling and planning her next dream vacation. One place she considers magical is the Magic Kingdom itself, Disney World. If any plans on visiting there yourself, Jeanne is a great resource on that destination as well!


Maria Christina Simmons, Sales Manager
Since joining the Sheraton Arlington sales team in 2006, Maria Christina "MC" Simmons has enjoyed great success at the property. As Business Transient Sales Manager working with all Preferred Corporate accounts, she takes care of those travelers who visit us most often. Known among her colleagues as the "Internet Guru", Maria Christina is considered an extremely valuable resource to her team members in all things Google.

Maria Christina received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies/Human Relations from Texas Christian University, having also received leadership honors as a graduate of the selective Chancellor Leadership Program. She got her start in the hospitality industry as a Lead Internet Researcher, building on that by working in hotel Guest Services and in Business Transient Sales. Originally from Houston, Maria Christina enjoys spending her weekends at home in Fort Worth with her husband, Stephan, their newborn daughter, Stefania and two dogs.


Christina Cerami, Director of Catering & Conference Services
Having started at the property in 1996, Christina Cerami is very familiar with what it takes to ensure an event is executed successfully and her clients' expectations are exceeded. Having started as a Front Desk Agent at the property before moving into the Catering & Conferences Services Department, her background is one built from a solid history in customer service, her dedication to the clients that she works with and from her enjoyment in working at a property that she loves. Having been promoted to her current position in 2008, she shares those attributes and skills with her entire team.

When not at work, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, Joey, and their children, Jay and Chanel. She also loves all things related to music, from listening to her MP3 player, to dancing or catching a live band.


Kelly Misselhorn, Catering Sales Manager
Since joining the Sales & Catering team in 2008, Kelly Misselhorn has been assisting meeting planners achieve their meeting and event goals through her dedication to customer service, her boundless energy and her creative and unique approach to meetings and events.

With over ten years in the hospitality industry, Kelly's background includes experience at a number of hotel properties in the Miami and D/FW areas, as well as position in National Sales at the Ft. Worth Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Kelly received a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University of North Miami, and now considers herself a converted Texan. She spends her spare time with her family and her friends and has a passion for the beach, softball and the outdoors.


Jill Blackford, Social Catering Manager
Jill Blackford is our newest team member, recently joining the Sheraton Arlington Sales and Catering team as our Social Catering Manager. Jill's attention to detail and creative approach is an ideal match, handling such affairs as weddings, bar mitzvahs and social events. She comes to us with over two decades of hotel experience that includes management and event planning for premier hotels in Brussels, San Diego, Denver, and most recently Fort Worth.

Jill hails from Europe and has been living in the great USA since 1988. Married for 21 years, Jill also enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, their two children, Michael and Sarah, and their two dogs, Molly and Ashley.
